Scanned documents must be complete, clear, and readable, with all required information visible. Missing or unreadable information may delay processing.
Scanners must have a minimum resolution of 200 DPI. A resolution of 300 DPI is recommended and is the most common resolution for desktop scanners.
Documents must be scanned using a scanner. Photographs or images captured using mobile devices or scanning applications, such as CamScanner, cannot be accepted.
When scanning documents, dealers may select from three color modes; Black and White, Grayscale, or Color. Grayscale is recommended for optimal Optical Character Recognition (OCR) accuracy. Black and white is also acceptable for most text-based documents when the text is clear and legible.
