Dallas County Tax Office will issue a maximum of three 30-day temporary permits for a passenger vehicle, light truck, and motorcycle. When purchasing any type of temporary permit, the customer must have the completed Application for Timed Temporary Permits Form VTR-66 (available at www.txdmv.gov/forms), insurance on that vehicle in their own name, and a current, valid photo ID.
