General issue license plates are supplied as part of the initial registration of a vehicle.
If your plates are lost or stolen, you may obtain replacement plates through our office. You will need to complete the:
- Application for Replacement License Plate(s) and/or Registration Sticker Form VTR-60 (available at www.txdmv.gov/forms)
- Valid ID
There will be a $6.50 fee for all replacement plates and/or stickers.
