Mortgage companies either submit payments directly to the Tax Office or they use a third-party vendor to facilitate the payment on their behalf. When a refund is issued, it is returned to the person/entity that made the payment. Depending on how your mortgage company paid, it could take several weeks before the refund is returned to them. Please check with your mortgage company regarding the method they used to pay your taxes and for the status of your refund.
