As a reminder, taxes must be paid by JANUARY 31, each year, to avoid penalty and interest. If you are mailing your payment, please be advised that we use the Post Office’s postmark, not a meter date, to comply with Tax Code Section 1.08. If you are waiting for an adjustment to your account, we strongly suggest that you pay taxes on or before January 31, each year. We are unable to waive the penalty and interest that are accrued if the payment is not received on time, but we are able to refund any overages that result from an adjustment being made to your account.
